Paul George has recently shed light on the ongoing controversy surrounding Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. After their recent loss against the Miami Heat, the Philadelphia 76ers dropped to 2-12 in the NBA. However, things soon started to fall out of proportion when a team meeting altercation between Maxey and Embiid leaked. ESPN’s Shams Charania stated that Maxey had called out Embiid for being habitually late.
This came as a shocker for the entire 76ers team. After all, a piece of closed-door sensitive information going out in public is not ideal news for the team. Hearing the news, Embiid immediately expressed his frustration and called the snitch “a piece of s**t.” He has even vowed to track down the person who had leaked the information to ESPN. Now, joining him in the controversy, Paul George, too, seems dissatisfied about the entire fiasco.

Speaking on ‘Podcast P,’ George mentioned how the incident would create trust issues among the teammates. “It being leaked, that’s where it kind of negates everything that we had in that meeting as far as trusting in one another and putting everything out there so that we can all have these conversations and it being not taken from a bad place,” said George on the podcast. However, his unfiltered take on the controversy seems to have triggered the fans. Blaming him for not showing enough effort, fans lashed out at Paul George.
