Bronny James has had a challenging start to his NBA journey. After making the leap from the USC Trojans to the Lakers, his debut season has brought both praise and criticism for him. The young player, who faced a major health scare when he suffered a cardiac arrest, has been under the spotlight. Many questioned whether he joined the league too early.
Lakers head coach JJ Redick decided to assign Bronny to the G-League to give him a chance to develop and improve. This move has allowed the young star to work on his game away from the pressures of the NBA, and so far, it’s been paying off.
On Friday, Bronny put on a show in the South Bay Lakers’ win over the Remix, delivering his best performance. LeBron James’ eldest son scored a career-high 31 points, hit five three-pointers, and contributed two steals and three assists.

With a 10-of-22 shooting line from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line, it was clear that Bronny’s development was heading in the right direction. This was his second 30-point game of the season.
The performance did not go unnoticed. Fans took to social media to praise Bronny for his growth and athleticism. Many expressed their admiration for how far he’s come since his initial struggles with the Lakers. Some even predicted a bright future ahead for the talented rookie.

Bronny James Enjoying His Journey Despite The Spotlight
After his standout performance on Friday, Bronny James touched on the attention and pressure he faces as a rookie in the basketball world. In response, Bronny shared the growth and positive mindset he’s developed, especially after being assigned to the G-League.
“I am having fun. Any time I’m playing basketball, any time I’m out here breathing, any time I’m out here walking, I’m having fun. I’m grateful for everything,” Bronny said.
Despite a below-average start, Bronny has been excelling with the South Bay Lakers. He is averaging 23 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals per game. This level of improvement is a far cry from his early days with the Lakers when he averaged just 0.3 points, 0.3 assists, and 0.2 rebounds in his limited NBA appearances.
