The entire difference between Golden State and Houston over their 6-game series in the Western Conference Semis was just 11 points.
During Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers — The Golden State Warriors likely never really broke a sweat as they cruised to an easy 116-94 victory. Not to mention, that was done without Kevin Durant, who is still out due to injury.
Following the easy victory that put them up 1-0 in the series, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr’s comments showed he nor anybody on the team feels threatened by the Blazers at all.
“This series feels like a series we can play more people. It’s a different matchup.”
That’s just a nice way of saying they aren’t threatened by anybody on the other side and this series is over in 4.
