Basketball fans have witnessed numerous intense moments on the court throughout NBA history. Many players have been involved in heated altercations with both other players and fans courtside. One notable incident involved Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors and Jordan Poole, a former Warriors player now with the Washington Wizards. Additionally, this incident was described as the angriest moment of Warriors coach Steve Kerr’s life.
During a recent appearance on The Dan Le Batard Show, Kerr mentioned that there have been many incidents where Green exceeded the limits. However, it was against Poole that the five-time NBA champion crossed the line, leading to a difficult season for the team.
“There are a lot of examples referring to the many times Green’s emotional intensity had pushed boundaries over the years. “But for sure, the Jordan Poole incident stands out. He crossed the line with Jordan, and he knew it immediately. That made the season incredibly difficult for everybody.” Kerr said.
Green, who was recently seen partying with LeBron James, is one of the most aggressive players in the league. Throughout his professional career, he has been involved in many fights, but punching Poole was one of the most devastating incidents.
Draymond Green And Jordan Poole’s Fight
During the Warriors’ practice session on October 5, 2022, Green and Poole got into a heated argument that escalated into a physical fight. The 34-year-old forward punched Poole in the face during the altercation.
Despite apologizing for his actions and announcing that he would stay away from the team for a few days, the Warriors fined Green. However, the four-time NBA champion didn’t stop his aggression and stomped on Domantas Sabonis’ chest during a playoff game against the Sacramento Kings on April 18, which led to a one-game suspension.
