The Golden State Warriors have finally found their winning ways. With things going awfully wrong this season, the Warriors looked to bounce back post Christmas. Unfortunately, Stephen Curry and co. suffered a close defeat on Christmas day against the Los Angeles Lakers. Making matters worse, Warriors’ HC, Steve Kerr had to witness yet another defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Thankfully, the drought finally came to an end, with the GSW notching up a 109-105 victory with the Phoenix Suns. While such a result is sure to make Kerr happy, the performance of Jonathan Kuminga, too, will surely put a smile on his face. Amidst Curry’s absence, Kuminga produced two big back-to-back performances. Speaking on the topic, Kerr revealed a major strategy. “The starting group and (Jonathan Kuminga) playing starter’s minutes (off the bench),” said Kerr. He opined that he wants to keep this rotation as the core for the next few games.

That's Curry, Schroder, Wiggins, Draymond, Jackson-Davis starting. Kuminga played 34, 37 minutes last two nights.
Surely, Kuminga has slowly molded himself into the mix. Putting in some impressive performances, Kuminga dropped an identical 34 points in his last 2 games. Meanwhile, Kuminga is not at all bothered about the rotation. He is all in for his team.
Jonathan Kuminga Ready To Give His Best Overlooking Steve Kerr’s Combinations
Jonathan Kuminga does not seem to be paying too much attention to how Steve Kerr wants to use him in the game. Instead, he only has one aim—to give his best in whatever role he is vested with. Such a mentality comes from his lengthy struggles since childhood.
“From where I come from, you always got to be mentally tough. A lot of people that are playing… If they were in my shoes, they’ll quit basketball. They’ll need a therapist… But that thing don’t affect me,” said Kuminga. The Warriors’ star further detailed that his latest goal was to improve his performance further. Thus, with Steve Kerr getting a significant boost in Jonathan Kuminga, it will now be interesting to see how well he can manage his team in the upcoming days.
