Stephon Marbury has shown in the past that he doesn’t think much of LeBron James for whatever reason and he was back at it yet again while speaking on the death of Kobe Bryant.
Kobe has received tons of praise and love from the sports world and that includes current Lakers star LeBron James. Days after the 5-time NBA champion tragically died in a helicopter crash back in January, LeBron gave a rousing speech to the Staples Center crowd and seemed to be fully accepted by the Lakers community to continue to carry Kobe’s legacy.
Marbury was recently a guest on Complex’s “Load Management” podcast and vented about the amount of fake love that Kobe has gotten from people that previously hated him when he was alive. While talking about that, he took a shot at LeBron by saying he wasn’t “no real Laker” and that he didn’t need to carry Kobe’s legacy.
“You don’t need to go and get guys like LeBron to go speak and talk about what they’re going to carry and all that,” Marbury said. “He doesn’t need you to carry his legacy. His legacy is his legacy. Carry your own legacy. Keep you poppin’ and going. You’re not no real Laker.”
Like we stated before, Marbury has taken shots at Bron in the past, calling him out referring to himself as the GOAT over Jordan, stating that he can’t shoot the b-ball, saying Zion would be better than he ever was.
