Despite concerns that the Golden State Warriors had lost their dominance, especially after losing Klay Thompson in the offseason, they proved their strength once again with a big win over the Boston Celtics. With Stephen Curry leading the way, the Warriors defeated the reigning champions 118-112 at the TD Garden.
This victory marked the Warriors’ seventh win in their last eight games and extended their winning streak to five games. As Curry and the team headed to the locker room after the game, a reporter asked the star player how it felt to win in Boston. Being confident and composed as ever, Curry simply replied, “Always good.”
Curry was outstanding in the game, scoring a team-high 27 points, along with nine assists, four steals, a block, and four three-pointers in just 34 minutes of play. This performance was even more sweet, considering it was his second game back after missing three games due to injury.
Stephen Curry Reflects On The Warriors’ Strong Performance Against The Celtics
Stephen Curry was full of confidence after leading the Golden State Warriors to a big win over the reigning NBA champions. In his postgame interview, Curry made it clear that the Warriors are capable of beating anyone in the league.
“We’re capable of beating anybody. It’s hard. You gotta embrace the challenge. Our offense took care of the ball, which is something we struggled with historically. When we get good possessions, either by making shots or grabbing offensive rebounds, it allows us to set up our defense; that’s the only way you can beat a team like them,” Curry said.
The Warriors will look to continue their success when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
