The Golden State Warriors started the season strong, but their recent performances have left fans disappointed. Saturday night was no exception, as they fell to the Los Angeles Lakers 118-108.
The night wasn’t just tough for the Warriors as a team but also for Stephen Curry. Despite being one of the league’s most reliable scorers, Curry had a challenging game. He went completely scoreless in the second half, finishing with only 13 points. In the postgame press conference, Curry was taken aback when a reporter pointed out the Warriors’ dismal record when trailing after three quarters.
“On the year, you guys are 1-20 when trailing after three quarters?” the reporter asked.
Curry was totally stunned and responded, “What? Yeah, sheesh.”

The reporter followed up by asking why the Warriors have such a hard time making comebacks in games. Curry then offered a thoughtful explanation.
“I mean, some of the games have been because we couldn’t score. Tonight, obviously, AD and Bron pretty much controlled the possessions, trying to get 80 on the block or in the mid post. He’s knocking down the shots, so Bron was getting to the lane. I’m sure one in 20 is probably for a lot of reasons, but one of those kinds of anomalies we gotta figure out,” Curry replied.

Stephen Curry Admits He Needs To Step Up After Warriors’ Loss
After their tough loss to the Lakers, Stephen Curry took accountability for his performance in the post-game press conference. The Warriors star admitted that he needs to step up moving forward.
“One, I just got to play better. I had a couple of good looks, but they were trying to funnel us into a crowd, use their length, their size. At the end of the day, you got to make adjustments, find space, and knock down the shots that you’re supposed to. I didn’t do that tonight,” Curry said.
The loss marked another setback for the Warriors, who now sit at 22-23 on the season. Their recent struggles have dropped them to 11th place in the Western Conference.
