The retirement rumors regarding Stephen Curry have been circulating for some time now. As the Warriors star approaches his late 30s, fans have become increasingly concerned about whether Curry’s retirement is on the horizon. Now, things escalated when the 36-year-old signed a contract extension with the Warriors till 2026-27. With the rumor mills churning fast, there has been a significant update on his retirement by none other than Stephen Curry himself.
In a recent appearance on ‘The Circuit of Emily Chang’, Curry broke down the two ways one can retire. The GSW star pointed out how one can retire by force and, on the contrary, by one’s own free will. Thankfully, the 4x NBA champion clarified that he is not close to either of the situations at the moment. “There will be a clear sign that it’s time to hang it up. I don’t want to be the one that’s limping up and down the court trying to keep up with the young bucks, but I don’t think I’m anywhere close to that yet,” said Curry.

Curry also stressed the need to understand the signs of the body. Once an athlete feels tired of the rigorous 82-game season, he must instantly pull himself out of the process. Meanwhile, as Curry is not returning anytime soon, his accolades have made him a strong contender for the NBA GOAT debate. And jumping right into it once was Michael Jordan himself!
Michael Jordan Chooses Stephen Curry Over LeBron James
Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Stephen Curry are three names that fans fight over to determine who is superior. However, in 2019, Jordan decided to pick an athlete against whom he wanted to face off on the NBA court. Surprisingly, Jordan decided to sidestep LeBron James and chose Stephen Curry.
“Well, I’d go against Stephen Curry because I’m a little bit bigger than him, so I could back him in, but LeBron’s a little bit too big,” said Jordan, as quoted by Sports Bible. Unfortunately, the matchups are no longer possible, and they will, thus, only be left to the audiences’ imagination. However, continuing his quest for success, Stephen Curry is sure to enthrall his fans for a few more years to come.
