The Golden State Warriors faced a tough defeat against the New Orleans Pelicans, losing 114-109 in a game on Friday night. This loss was significant because it directly impacted their position in the standings.
Unfortunately, the Warriors couldn’t overcome their turnovers and the Pelicans’ exceptional three-point shooting. Despite Stephens Curry’s masterclass, the Warriors lost the game.
Stephen Curry’s brilliant performance fails to save Warriors
In a 32-minute game, Stephen Curry put up impressive stats: 33 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 7 turnovers, 2 fouls, shooting 12-for-23 from the field, hitting 7 of 13 three-point attempts, and making both of his free throws, resulting in a solid 69.1% True Shooting percentage, although the game ended with his team down by 8.
This game showcased Curry’s dual nature on the court. He single-handedly carried the scoring load for the Warriors with remarkable efficiency. Every shot he took seemed a wonder, especially crucial ones that turned the game for his team. His step-back three-pointers were like magic, rescuing the Warriors from close defeat on multiple occasions.

These turnovers were costly, coming at key moments and impacting the team’s rhythm. Despite being the go-to guy for the final shot, Curry’s decision-making was questioned, as he was taking more critical shots than making it into a strategic play.
