You just knew Stephen A. Smith would have something to say about Alex caruso getting arrested.
Los Angeles Lakers player Alex Caruso was arrested on Tuesday at Easterwood Airport in College Station after TSA agents found what they believed to be drug paraphernalia. The police department says the item located was a grinder with marijuana residue. The 27-year-old College Station native was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, less than two ounces, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Wednesday’s edition of First Take, Smith called Caruso for his arrest. “Alex Caruso for the Los Angeles Lakers could not stay off the weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed-dah,” he said with a flourish. “I mean damn – another one.”
In 58 games played last season, Caruso averaged 6.4 points, 2.8 assists and a career-high 2.9 rebounds per game.
The former Texas A&M star is out of contract with the Lakers heading into the 2021 offseason though.
