Watching Game 2 would make an Toronto Raptors fan sick to their stomach after the team held a nice lead going into halftime, only to watch it die in 2 minutes and then explode as the Warriors went on an 18-0 run.
Stephen A. Smith has been known to give some crazy takes in his day, but he left his most absurd viewpoint for this game.
The ESPN personality stated on Monday that the Toronto Raptors fans were solely to blame for that run, because the arena was half full with most fans as the concession stand trying to get food and drinks.
That is just a crazy way to not place blame on the players on the court not doing their job and overcoming a crazy run like that.
I’m sure every fan in the building was up at the same time trying to food and refreshments, something that would take an absurd amount of time, which is no fault of their own. The raptors boast one of the best fan bases in the entire league, with thousands of them waiting outside some 19 hours before Game 2, just to get a spot outside the arena that has been dubbed “Jurassic Park.”
