The love and hate relationship between Stephen A. Smith and Jay Williams was on full display on Monday.
During the Monday episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith and Jay Williams got into a spirited debate about Kyrie Irving demanding a trade and then being dealt to the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend.
Things got so contentious that Smith even started mocking the Jay Williams starts his statements.
“Jay, you know what — what I would ask you is, do me a favor: stop telling me us what you ‘find interesting’ and just tell us what you feel,” Smith said after Williams how it’s ‘interesting’ to him how Smith feels about Kyrie.
“You say ‘I find it interesting’,” Smith said while pantomiming as Williams. “You always say that… say what you sayin’!”
Molly Qerim tried her best to let the guys know to not let things get personal and get back on the topic of Irving.
Kyrie Irving’s reported trade from the Brooklyn Nets to the Dallas Mavericks sent shock waves through the NBA world. Brooklyn is reportedly acquiring Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and draft picks in the deal.

Irving’s tenure with the Nets was tumultuous at best. In 143 games in four seasons, Irving averaged 27.1 points, 5.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds.
The Mavs will be awesome on offense, but it remains to be seen what will happen on the other end of the floor.
