NBA insider Shams Charania revealed a list of the NBA and WNBA players earlier this week that would be starring alongside LeBron James in “Space Jam 2.”
Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, and WNBA stars Diana Taurasi, Chiney Ogwumike and Nneka Ogwumike have already accepted their roles in the movie.
One wonders why Klay Thompson gave a yes to the movie, but the the league’s only unanimous MVP wasn’t listed as a cast member.
It turns out he was asked, but he turned it down.
During an interview with New York Times reporter Sopan Deb, Curry revealed who he had to do so.
“I said no. The timing of it. I know LeBron and Ryan Coogler are going to be doing amazing things. It’s going to be awesome. Part of it was in terms of things that I had going on. It was just the timing, to be honest. Not being able to commit,” Curry said in the interview.
