Stephen Curry joined a peaceful protest in Palo Alto on Saturday, in which he could be heard joining in a very peculiar chant about the president.
“Donald Trump has got to go,” the three-time Warriors champion was recorded chanting with his fellow Bay Area protesters.
The Golden State Warriors guard has spoken out about Trump several times during his career, most notably when he made his feelings about Trump clear in September 2017 when he explained why he had no interest in accepting an invitation to the White House.
“…By acting and not going, hopefully that will inspire some change when it comes to what we tolerate in this country and what is accepted and what we turn a blind eye to. It’s not just the act of not going there. There are things you have to do on the back end to actually push that message into motion,” the Warriors sharpshooter said at the time.
Donald Trump would fire back by the Warriors’ invitation, but only after the majority of them had already stated they were not going.
