Twitter was going nuts this week over the release of Drake’s latest album, “Certified Lover Boy.” One of the things that caught the attention of many was the rapper’s reference to Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha, in the song, “Race My Mind.”
In the song, Drake says, “How I’m supposed to wife it you not Ayesha enough.”
If you break it down, the comment is obviously a compliment to Steph. Drake is pretty much telling the Golden State Warriors star that his wife is a keeper. But how did Steph take it? Did he interpret it as such?
Based on this tweet, it sure sounds like Drake got Steph’s approval:
Drake’s use of Ayesha’s name was especially curious to many because of the timing. Steph’s parents are currently engaged in a highly-publicized divorce, and many have assumed that Drake could be a potential suitor for Sonya Curry — although nothing has happened as of yet.
