Victor Wembanyama Commits To Representing France At EuroBasket 2025
Victor Wembanyama has not forgotten his roots. The San Antonio Spurs superstar has made a commitment to represent his home country, France, at EuroBasket 2025. According to Jean-Pierre Hunckler, the president of the French Federation of Basketball (FFBB), Wemby has assured the organization that he will be there unless a physical issue prevents it.
“He assured me that unless there is a physical problem, he would be there for Euro 2025. The luck we have is that he is a young man with a good head who thinks about French basketball and its development,” Hunckler said.
Last year, the big man helped France to win a silver medal at the Paris Olympics. Although they lost to Team USA in the final, Wembanyama’s 26-point performance almost led to a stunning upset.
