South Park is known for its harsh, hilarious, and unapologetic comedy that they’ve been dishing out for years. It was only right they made fun of basketball player LeBron James in its latest episode, after he condemned Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey for his tweet supporting Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protesters.
When asked about the tweet, the Los Angeles Lakers star said: “Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but at times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you are not thinking about others and only thinking about yourself.”
That exact quote was used by Cartman in the latest episode of Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s comedy show.
Unlike the NBA, South Park hasn’t been shy when it comes to criticizing China and companies that continue to do business there. In one of their recent episodes, they poked fun at LeBron and James Harden as they were on a plane to China.
