Dell Curry has officially moved on and there will be no reunion with his ex-wife.
The father of the Golden State Warriors superstar reportedly remarried two years after divorcing his longtime wife of 30 years, Sonya Curry.
“Yes. It’s great. … I didn’t know what I was gonna do (after the divorce). I thought about going to the West Coast. I’m like, ‘Nah, I’m not gonna follow my sons. I’m going to stick it out. Hang here…’ And then I had friends who introduced me to my wife now. I’d met her a couple of times. We talked on the phone for a month before I laid eyes on her. I’m like: ‘Oh, I like this girl, man. What’s going on here?’ I wasn’t going to get married again. But life is great right now. It couldn’t be better. For me, I’m at a great place in my life. My home situation is sound. My kids and their families are doing great. They’re happy for me. I’m happy for them,” he told the Charlotte Observer.
His new wife is named Nicki and he’s been married to her for roughly a year.
The parents of Steph Curry announced their divorce in 2021 and things got nasty soon afterward. Sonya Curry was the first to file, as she stated that Dell Curry had committed “marital misconduct.” She claimed that the former Raptor had multiple extramarital affairs with different women.
Dell Curry followed suit and filed divorce papers of his own, claiming that Sonya Curry had “performed acts of illicit misconduct.” He also believed that she had stayed with another man during his NBA career.
The public realized that the Curry marriage was truly over during the 2022 NBA Finals as Dell and Sonya Curry sat in separate areas.
