Throughout his NBA career, LeBron James has been known not only for his basketball prowess but also for his confident fabrications. Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers legend have grown accustomed to his occasional untruths. Recently, an X user created a thread highlighting some of LeBron’s more notable lies.
The user began by sharing LeBron’s bold claim about a coach’s words, noting that he probably didn’t even know the coach’s name or the exact lines spoken.
One of the lies included LeBron’s defense of his eldest son, Bronny James. LeBron passionately blasted critics, asserting Bronny’s athleticism. Now, Bronny James’ summer league performance proved all his bragging as lies.
LeBron didn’t hesitate to fib when asked about his favorite moment or scene in “The Godfather Part II.” Despite claiming it was his favorite, he struggled to provide a specific answer while revealing the bluff.

Another fabrication involved NBA legend Kobe Bryant. LeBron claimed that before Bryant’s historic 81-point game, he had told friends that Kobe was going for 70. This assertion appeared more like a boast than a genuine prediction.
There was also an incident at a press conference where LeBron held a copy of “The Autobiography of Malcolm X.” When a reporter asked him how he liked the book, he fumbled for words. Clearly, he was unable to articulate anything substantial about its content.
LeBron James’ Bold Claim About Discovering Migos
Apart from his numerous well-known fabrications, LeBron James made another notable claim in 2022. The basketball legend stated that he introduced his team to the rap group Migos, predicting their rise in the hip-hop scene.
“I was listening to those guys my first year with the Heat in 2010. You can ask any one of my teammates back then; they had no idea who the Migos were. I was like, ‘I’m telling you these guys are next,'” LeBron said.
This assertion, like many of LeBron’s other statements, has been met with skepticism. Fans and critics found it hard to believe that he had such foresight into Migos’ future success.
