After a tough season with the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant has found his way back to success by winning his fourth gold medal with Team USA. Not only did Durant secure the most gold medals among his peers, but he also emerged as the leading scorer for the team.
After the Paris Olympics, Durant recently made an appearance at “Fanatics Fest” in New York City alongside fellow Team USA star Anthony Edwards and former player Jalen Rose. During the event, Rose asked Durant what fans can expect from him and the Phoenix Suns in the upcoming season.
Before Team USA’s top scorer could respond, a voice from the crowd interrupted with a blunt response. A fan from the crowd replied, “Nothing.”
The Phoenix Suns ended last season with a record of 49-33, finishing 6th in the Western Conference. However, their playoff run was short-lived, as the Minnesota Timberwolves swept them 4-0 in the first round. Despite the team’s struggles, Durant had a solid individual season. He averaged 27.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.0 assists across 75 regular-season games.
Tony Allen Praises Kevin Durant’s Unstoppable Offensive Game
Kevin Durant has been a nightmare for defenders since his NBA debut. Recently, former NBA star Tony Allen shared his thoughts on Durant’s incredible offensive skills during a conversation during his appearance on Grind City Media.
Allen didn’t hold back when discussing what makes Durant so difficult to guard. He also touched on Durant’s effectiveness when driving to the basket.

“Once he turns his back and backs you down, the turnaround jump shot is there. You ain’t blocking it. If you rise up, he’s beating you by about 7 or 8 inches on the pull-up,” Allen said.
“When he drives, he’s definitely going to get the call because he’s frail, and if you’re too physical, it’s like, ‘Aight ref, this is my move, I get this freedom of space.’ He was tough when the pick-and-roll came because if you went under, it’s like a layup,” Allen added.
Durant’s dominance in the Olympics has already shown his enduring talent. Now, it’s time to see if he can carry that momentum into the NBA season.
