Lonzo Ball is headed to New Orleans, which was a key piece in the trade to acquire Anthony Davis. It was one of those trades where you would remember where you were when the trade went down.
Lavar Ball will certainly remember, because it was recorded after he found out.
While LaVar was at a Drew League game with his youngest son, LaMelo, his reaction to the trade looked as if the man was completely shook at what just occured.
Once the initial shock wore off, everyone knew LaVar Ball wasn’t going to take this sitting down. Ball made a “guarantee” the Lakers will never win another championship after trading his son Lonzo to the Pelicans.
“It will be the worst the move the Lakers ever did in their life, and they will never win another championship,” said Ball, who was at Drew League (a basketball pro-am) game watching his son LaMelo play. “Guarantee it. They’re going to regret it. I’m going to have fun with it. … I told you all it was crashing down. Now it completely crashed, but at least my son got out of the boat before the thing exploded.”
