The recent matchup between the Sacramento Kings and the Houston Rockets was a banger. With both the teams playing equally well, the decision came right at the end. Thankfully for the Kings, they managed to hold onto their nerves and get the better of Houston via a 132-127 victory. And much of the Kings’ victory came via a last-minute flurry from De’Aaron Fox.
In the last thirty-three seconds, Fox made as many as five free throws to take the Kings over the finish line. However, not everything went smoothly during this phase. Among the five free throws, a couple looked quite controversial. Out of them, one incident involved Dillon Brooks. At the fag end of the match, Fox could be charging towards the rim. However, covering him appropriately was Brooks, who then made a steal and was ready to launch a counterattack.

Unfortunately, at this very moment, the referee stopped the game by calling a foul on Brooks. Such a decision made the fans and Brooks visibly frustrated. As the discontent grew, social media buzzed with complaints from the fans.

The ref blows the whistle after Brooks steals it, smh dam near looks rigged. Also, these players keep flopping while the refs keep falling for it, the players are ruining the game as well.

Lastly, a user chimed in saying, “To make matters worse, they claimed the foul occurred before the inbound so they gave the Kings 1 FT + the ball back. The whistle cost the Rockets 3 points. They were down 4. Jalen Green comes down and hits a 3. Should’ve been tied at 127. Instead it was 127-128.”

Thus, it is evident that the referee might have made a mistake. Now, with the fans enraged, it remains to be seen whether the Rockets lodge a complaint regarding the same or not.
