Behind Stephen Curry’s 30-point outing, the Warriors narrowly squeaked out a 116-115 victory over the Kings. They dropped their final preseason contest to Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night by a final score of 122-117.
The Warriors were eliminated by LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the playoffs last season. With Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Chris Paul leading the way, Golden State is once again among the favorites to win the NBA Championship this year.
In the Curry-Green-Thompson era, the Warriors have played in six NBA Finals and have won four of them (2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022).
Golden State’s quest for a fifth championship in less than a decade will begin on Tuesday night when they welcome old friend Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.
