The highly anticipated NBA 2K25 video game has officially released player ratings ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season, including ratings for four Los Angeles Lakers players. Among them, Austin Reaves boasts an 81 overall rating, the same as his teammate D’Angelo Russell.
In a recent video shared by popular 2K content creator Chris Smoove, Reaves made an appearance and had some fun with the game. During the snippet, the MyPlayer character questioned Reaves about his journey from undrafted to becoming a teammate of LeBron James.
Reaves was seen responding to Smoove’s MyPlayer character, who called him a “wannabe role player.”
“That’s super inspirational, man. I thought I was a wannabe role-player at best,” Reaves said.
“I was 16, when I posted it. I got caught up in the moment, man,” the character said.
However, Reaves wasn’t fully convinced by the words, replying, “Well, now you’re in this moment. Are you going to back all that talk up?”
