Social media is truly undefeated.
On Tuesday night, Charles Barkley started to receive a wave of backlash after an Axios reporter posted on Twitter that the NBA Hall of Famer told her, “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you.”
Alexi McCammond said Barkley made that comment after she asked for clarification over which Democratic presidential candidate he supports ahead of the 2020 race.
Turner Sports PR would soon release an apology on behalf of Barkley, saying the statements he made were “inappropriate and unacceptable.”

Alexi responded to that apology and that’s when other Twitter users began calling her out for past racist-like tweets she has to delete.

People like you (cunts) are #HumanGarbage. Your narcissism & attention seeking transcends your “morality,” clouds the ability for people actually going through traumatic abuse from speaking up, and diminishes whatever credibility you have both as a human and a “journalist”. pic.twitter.com/WtpjdfY9lz
