Kyrie Irving has social media going nuts once again over something he said.
On Wednesday, the Brooklyn Nets superstarposted a tweet stating that his “mask is off,” which had people thinking the 29-year-old was talking about medical masks amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The context of Irving’s tweet is unclear, but he really should’ve read the room before sending this out.
Irving was fined at one point during the 2020-21 season for violating the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols. In the 2020-21 season, Irving averaged 26.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game while knocking down 50.6 percent of his shots from the field and 40.2 percent of his shots from 3-point land.
