Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is among the two remaining players on the team, who were part of their last four championships.
The Warriors’ power forward has earned around $178 million in earnings in his NBA career, almost half of his teammate Stephen Curry’s. However, the 34-year-old, known for his aggressive plays, has received multiple fines valued at a mind-blowing amount.
According to Spotrac, Green has been fined several times in his career, costing him around $900,000. With four suspensions last year, the Warriors star has been removed six times for his misconduct, forcing him to pay $3.2 million. During his appearance on The Big Podcast, Draymond Green claimed, “It’s actually not set up for us to be wealthy after we’re done playing.”
As the calculation of his fines and suspensions went viral on social media, NBA fans flooded the comments section. While some expressed shock at the huge amount of money, others cracked jokes about Green.

The four-time NBA All-Star faced his first suspension during Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 Finals. Green was charged $129,644 for a Flagrant 1 foul after he hit LeBron James in the groin. The Cavaliers won that game, the first of their historic NBA Finals comeback.
Draymond Green’s Major Fines And Suspensions
Green received multiple technical fouls ranging from $2,000 to $3,000 in his career. He was charged a $50,000 fine twice, first for “directing inappropriate and offensive language toward a game official” following the Warriors’ 20-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in February 2018. His second fine came in 2020 against the Phoenix Suns over his exchange with Devin Booker.
Draymond Green’s first four suspensions were for one game each. However, the Warriors star missed 17 games in the last two suspensions. Last season, the Warriors star was suspended twice. In November 2023, he choked Rudy Gobert during the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, followed by his altercation with Phoenix Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic in December.
Green received a $769,705 fine and was sidelined for five games for his first suspension last season. On the other hand, he was barred from playing 12 games and was charged a whopping $1.8 million fine. With Klay Thompson’s exit, the Golden State Warriors would want Draymond Green to support Stephen Curry and avoid suspensions this season.
