Chris Paul has a long history of coming up short when the lights are brightest, but it seemed like 2021 would be a different story. As a member of the Phoenix Suns, CP3 helped lead his team to their first NBA Finals appearance since they lost to the Chicago Bulls during the Charles Barkley-Michael Jordan days back in 1993.
And it was looking like both he and the Suns were on the verge of winning their first championship after getting out to a 2-0 series lead over the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals…
But then the Suns travelled to Milwaukee, where they lost the next two games, highlighted by a pretty embarrassing performance from their 11-time all-star during a 109-103 Game 4 loss on Wednesday night.
Paul had just 10 points on 5-of-13 shooting, he was a minus-10 when on the court, and he had five turnovers, including this horrible gaffe with just 30 seconds left and the Suns trailing by two.
After that brutal showing, people couldn’t resist the urge to hop on Twitter and trash Chris Pau for his performance:
