Ben Simmons is no longer the player NBA fans once knew. Since joining the Brooklyn Nets, the former All-Star has faced intense scrutiny for his long history of injuries or underwhelming performances on the court. “Ben Simmons is back to playing All-Star talent-level basketball. Big season loading,” he wrote, sharing some images of Simmons’ workout.
This declaration quickly sparked reactions from NBA fans across social media. Given Simmons’ disappointing performances in the past two seasons, many trolled the player.

Ben Simmons’ Underwhelming Stats With the Nets
Ben Simmons joined the Brooklyn Nets ahead of the 2022–23 season after being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers. In his first season with the team, Simmons averaged 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game.
As Simmons entered his second season with the Nets, many hoped for a turnaround in his game. However, he struggled once again, finishing the season with averages of 6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists. While his rebounding numbers slightly improved, his overall performance remained lackluster.
The Nets also suffered during Simmons’ tenure, ending the last season as the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference. With a disappointing 32-50 record, the team failed to secure a playoff spot.
However, with back-to-back disappointing seasons, it remains to be seen whether the former star can live up to the high expectations set by his trainer in the upcoming season.
