It is no secret that Russell Westbrook’s first season with the Los Angeles Lakers was a colossal failure. Despite teaming up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis to form what they thought was the next ‘Big 3’, the Lakers failed to qualify for the playoffs, finishing with a 33-49 record.
Westbrook has seemed to take a lot of the blame, as he had one of the worse statistical seasons of his career. One of his toughest critics has been the always outspoken Skip Bayless, who during last week’s NBA Draft took a shot at Westbrook on Twitter, referring to him as ‘Westbrick’ when commenting on the Lakers’ selection.
Needless to say, Russ was not happy and clapped back at Bayless, responding directly to his tweet with one of his own saying, “Yoooo….watch your mouth. Don’t say anything here you wouldn’t say to my face.”
The 70-year-old Bayless is not backing down, though. He recently invited Westbrook to join him on his TV Show or Podcast to discuss his salary and his three-point shooting percentage.

Skip has never been afraid to speak his mind, and he has made quite a career out of it.
It is highly unlikely that Westbrook takes him up on his offer, but you can be sure that the former NBA MVP will have a response for Skip in the near future.
