Skip Bayless was just looking for a reason to not think about the Dallas Cowboys being dominated by the Chiefs, and LeBron James provided him with that distraction.
LeBron James was ejected from the team’s game against the Pistons after he drilled Detroit’s Isaiah Stewart in the head with an elbow while the two players were fighting for a rebound in the third quarter of Sunday’s matchup. It was a bad moment that got even worse as Stewart would not calm down until he was able to get his hands on LeBron.
The second-year player on the Pistons started to bleed, went into a rage and had to be held back by several teammates and coaches to keep him separated from James. While many believe that James will likely get a suspension, Bayless took it firther when he suggested that LeBron has hurt his legacy and reputation.
“The Elbow will not help LeBron James’ reputation or legacy.”
“Never seen anything remotely that dirty from LeBron James. It was the equivalent of hitting Stewart with his fist. Lotta blood. Just a shocking reaction by LeBron, who then spread his hands, moved toward Stewart like he didn’t mean it. Stewart wasn’t having it. Can’t blame him.”

“The Lakers are calling tonight an inspirational turning point in the season. REALLY??? LeBron shockingly and uncharacteristically cheap-shotted a 20-year-old, bloodying his eye, and got ejected — and that inspired the Lakers to fight back against a 4-11 team led by a 19-yr-old?”
“The more I watch the replays, the more I see relief on the faces of the Lakers after Pistons players and coaches finally subdued Isaiah Stewart. No Laker player looked like he wanted any part of Stewart’s rage, starting with LeBron.”
Stewart was guided to the team’s tunnel, but he got loose and tried to run and get to the Lakers side.
The two teams will square off again next Sunday in Los Angeles.
