Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal is considered to be one of the best centers in the NBA and, among that, the most dominant player ever to step on the court. Well, not according to everyone. In a recent debate between talk show hosts, radio talk show vet Chris Russo had some opinions about Shaquille O’Neal, which ignited a feud between them.
Russo made some comments about the 4x NBA Champ and had some thoughts of his own about the GOAT conversation. Those were later shown to Shaq on his podcast, and he couldn’t stay quiet, dropping some harsh words for Russo.

Shaquille O’Neal goes off on Chris Russo
On the “Big Podcast with Shaq,” co-host Adam Lefkoe played Russo’s clip where he said that Shaquille O’Neal is the fifth-best center in the history of the NBA. He further said more things about Shaq’s statement that Steph Curry might be the greatest of all time, thought that it was rubbish, and gave a piece of his mind about the statement.
Questioning Shaq’s place in the pyramid of greatness hit Shaq as a surprise, and his first reaction to the clip was, “Who the f*** is that?” to which Lefkoe responded that it was the Sports Talk host Chris Russo.
Lefkoe showed the whole clip to Shaq, to which he responded, “Let’s just get it straight — I would smack the s–t out of that dude.”

Shaq and Mad Dog beef explained
Shaq couldn’t digest Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo’s opinions after watching the whole video and said that he’s the most dominant center ever and doesn’t want to hear another name ever again. He agreed to the fact that Russo put Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain over him, but that’s it; nobody else goes ahead on the list.
“That would put me at No. 3,” O’Neal said. “I passed Hakeem Olajuwon—the king beat me, I came back and beat him. Moses Malone, I passed him up four, five, six years before I retired,” Shaq said. Russo even tried to put Tim Duncan ahead of Shaq, but Stephen A. Smith immediately stopped him by saying that Duncan was not a center; he was a forward.
Shaq’s is one of the three players to have his jersey retired by three different franchises: the Orlando Magic, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Miami Heat, joining Wilt Chamberlain and Pete Maravich on the list.
