Stephen Curry has dedicated nearly two decades to his NBA career, spending his entire journey with the Golden State Warriors. Following his success in securing four NBA championships with the San Francisco-based franchise, he claimed his first gold medal at the Paris Olympics this year.
His eye-catching resume has already caught the eye of former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal. During an appearance on the “Unapologetically Angel” show with WNBA rising star Angel Reese, O’Neal expressed his admiration for Curry and what sets him apart from other players.
“You know why I love Steph Curry? Because I’ve never seen that before. I’ve never seen a guy consistently come down,” the Big Aristotle told Reese.
“If you look at Steph on the street, he doesn’t have the LeBron muscle; he’s not 6’9″; he’s not 6’10”. He looks like a normal office guy. But he’s doing stuff that we’ve never seen before,” Shaq added.
Newcomer Buddy Hield Finds Inspiration in Stephen Curry’s Leadership
Stephen Curry faced a significant change this offseason with the departure of his long-time teammate, Klay Thompson. However, he quickly found support when the Golden State Warriors brought in Buddy Hield. Hield recently expressed his admiration for Curry after the Warriors’ dominant 127-86 victory over the Utah Jazz.
“Steph is one of the most humble superstars I’ve ever been around. The way he carries himself on and off the basketball court is impressive. I just watch them and try to follow their footsteps and just look up to them. I see basketball in a different way than I did in previous teams,” Hield said.

The on-court chemistry between Curry and Hield played a crucial role in the Warriors’ strong start to the season, as they began with a 2-0 record. In their recent game against the Jazz, Hield scored 27 points, while Curry added 20 to improve the Warriors’ stats.
