In his last season, O’Neal remained injured for a major part of the season. Adding to the woes, the big man also averaged only 9.2 points in the 2011-12 season.
Unfortunately, this is one aspect that has come back to haunt O’Neal repeatedly. Likewise, after a sorry show from Paul George in their 99-109 loss to the Phoenix Suns, an X account named ‘Hater Central’ compared the performance with that of Celtics’ Shaq.
“13 Points, 5-18 FG, 100% Washed. SIXERS PG MIGHT BE UP THERE WITH CELTICS SHAQ,” read the post from the account.
However, O’Neal did not seem to be too happy with the comparison. Lashing out at the user, the NBA legend said, “Celtic shaq had four rings while u was cheering in your moms basement.”
