Likewise, two of the biggest names in the NBA circuit, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal, decided to have a good debate on the Jimmy Butler topic.
Interestingly, both legends seemed to support two very different narratives. While Shaquille O’Neal endorsed Jimmy Butler’s actions, Charles Barkley defended the Miami Heat. Barkley stated that Butler must be professional and avoid traveling with the team. This is where O’Neal chimed in and stated that the team must let him go.
“I know exactly how Jimmy feels. I’ve been in his situation many times. All I’ve done for you guys, and you don’t wanna give me an extension? So, now human nature kicks in. You don’t want me? I don’t want you,” said O’Neal.

Jimmy Butler Has Been Suspended Yet Again
Jimmy Butler was slapped with a seven-match ban after publicly speaking out about his desire to leave the Miami Heat. However, soon after coming back, Butler was once again banned. Such prolonged tension is now at risk of trickling down to the minds of other athletes as well. However, as for Butler, he does not have any hard feelings for his Heat teammates.
Making his comeback against the Denver Nuggets, Butler said, “It felt good to get out there and compete and actually run around with these guys, As much as everybody may think, I don’t got a problem with these guys. These guys are cool. They’re my friends. … My beef is not with them and never will be. Never has been. But it did feel good to get out there and play some basketball.”
