Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal’s onscreen partnership in NBA on TNT is the stuff of legends. The two NBA Hall of Famers not only dissect the game in the most hilarious way possible but also keep the viewers entertained with their viral skits.
One such skit happened last week when Shaq and Chuck were seen hitting a punching bag with Kendrick Perkins’ face on it. Talking to NFL legend, Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Barkley revealed the reason behind that viral segment. The former Sixers forward said, “Shaq is so sensitive at times. I was going to let it go, and he’s like, ‘Nah, nah, nah. My momma told me growing up we kill all roaches.’ … Shaq is so crazy. He made a rap diss song.”
Barkley also added that he was only bothered about Kendrick Perkins accusing them of not watching basketball because he was fresh off “March Madness”, watching 2 to 3 games every day. To hear he doesn’t watch basketball really pissed off the 61-year-old, but he also mentioned that he was ready to move on from it.
But action on the basketball court and the set of TNT never stops. After the volatile weeks of the Shaq and Chuck vs Perkins feud, Barkley found a new topic to take issue with.
Charles Barkley Takes Issue With TNT Co-Host
After Wednesday night’s game between the Clippers and the Mavs, the TNT crew rolled out the highlight reel of the game to discuss key talking points. During the video, Ernie Johnson defended James Harden‘s 7-point performance on the night by praising his previous games.
Chuck took issue with that and sounded off his co-host by addressing Shaq. “Hey Shaq, I remember when I had two good games out of five, they ran me out of the league,” said the 1993 NBA MVP. When Earnie tried to justify his stance by pointing out stats, Chuck said, “He had two good games out of five Ernie. I didn’t say any of that, I didn’t say any of those stats Ernie.”

While the incident was nothing new on the analysts’ desk, Charles Barkley better hope James Harden doesn’t turn the tide, giving Ernie his chance to chime back at the former Suns forward.
