Dwight Howard officially cleared waivers on Monday and was therefore clear to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Shams Charania, Howard will be wearing No. 39 for the Lakers in the upcoming season. Such a weird number to choose.
Just because he’s on the Lakers again does not mean Shaq will suddenly start liking him all of a sudden.
TMZ caught up with Shaq to ask him about Howard’s new contract and as you can expect, Shaq couldn’t help but to take a shot at him.
“Who? I don’t know him.”

Howard seemed to always get under Shaq’s skin, from Dwight calling himself “Superman” which is exactly what Shaq would call himself, to Howard never really taking the game serious enough and dominating as he should.
Howard’s deal is non-guaranteed and “he’s been warned” that he’ll be “judged by his actions, not words.” He will earn $14,490 for each day he is on the Lakers roster, starting October 21.
The now 33-year-old spent just one season with the Lakers in 2012-13, when he averaged 17.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.
