The Milwaukee Bucks have slumped further down in the NBA. At the start of the season, the Bucks had a mission to reclaim their NBA title. Unfortunately, after 5 games done, it is already looking like the end of the road for Doc Rivers’ team. In an upsetting turn of events, the Bucks lost yet another game, this time to the Memphis Grizzlies.
The 99-122 beating meant that the Bucks are now 1-4 down in the win-loss ratio. Meanwhile, to further add insult to injury, Scotty Pippen Jr. launched an alleged verbal attack on the Bucks’ assistant coach, Darvin Ham.
Speaking to Grizzlies’ reporter Damichael Cole after the game, Pippen Jr. said, “One of the coaches over there didn’t believe in me so I definitely wanted to show I can play some defense.”
For the uninitiated, Scotty Pippen Jr. had a brief stint with the Los Angeles Lakers back in 2023. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out well, and Pippen Jr. was waived by the Gold and Purple brigade at the start of the 2023-24 season. Now, the 23-year-old seems to have bad blood brewing with Ham.
Pippen Jr. played exceptionally well to nullify the threat of Damian Lillard. Pippen Jr. was so prominent with his defense that Cole termed his play as someone who “definitely took the matchup personal.” Meanwhile, the sorry state of affairs is not at all a good sign for the outfit. In fact, Stephen A. Smith issued a warning to Doc Rivers for the poor showing this year.
Stephen A. Smith Issues A Chilling Warning To Bucks’ Head Coach
Things looked to start off perfectly well when the Milwaukee Bucks beat the 76ers in their opening game. Since then, there have been four back-to-back losses that have threatened to derail the Bucks’ NBA campaign this season. What’s more baffling is the fact that the Bucks have the services of two great NBA players at the moment- Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

Yet, they have been unable to get things running on the business end. Reacting to the sorry state of affairs, Stephen A. Smith recently issued a warning to head coach Doc Rivers. Speaking to First Take, Smith opined, “I don’t know what the hell is going on right now, but they better get it together… If he doesn’t get it done this year, this could be it for him for his career as a head coach in the NBA.” Thus, with the Bucks looking in some serious trouble, they will have to turn things around really quickly.
