Former NBA coach Sam Mitchell found himself at the center of controversy after an on-air exchange during NBA Gametime Live on Friday night. Mitchell made an offhand remark about leaking his co-host Chris Miles’ address, which quickly sparked backlash from viewers.
The incident began when Miles made a lighthearted joke about Warriors coach Steve Kerr not being awarded a gold medal for leading Team USA to victory and added a comment about their salaries. Mitchell responded with the controversial remark about revealing Miles’ address, which many fans took seriously.
The former NBA coach clarified the misunderstanding during a conversation with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson. He claimed that both he and Miles were in on the joke.
“Chris and I were joking and the addrsss is one that I made up in my head. I don’t even know if that address exists. He knows that’s not my address. For people to think that I would actually know another man’s address to his rental property is stupid,” Mitchell said.
“It was a joke. Chris was laughing and I was laughing. Case closed,” he added.

“Sam and Chris were both JOKING. The two were in the green room hanging out five minutes later laughing about something else. This didn’t get mentioned again. Sam and Chris are really good friends. Sam didn’t lose control. He was messing with him as he does every week with me on our show,” he wrote.
Geltzeiler also mentioned that the former NBA star’s address was entirely made up. Netizens should discover what is behind the scenes before slamming the NBA veteran.
