In addition to Wembanyama’s standout performance, the Spurs saw strong contributions from Julian Champagnie and Devin Vassell. Champagnie contributed 19 points and eight rebounds in 32 minutes of play, while Vassell added 21 points. Keldon Johnson also chipped in with 17 points, and veteran point guard Chris Paul provided 13 points, two rebounds, and 10 assists to help secure the win.
On the Kings’ side, DeMar DeRozan led the charge with 28 points, five rebounds, and eight assists while shooting 10-of-20 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free-throw line. Domantas Sabonis added 25 points and 13 rebounds, and D’Aaron Fox contributed 23 points, six rebounds, and nine assists. Malik Monk and Isaac Jones also had solid performances, scoring 19 and 12 points, respectively, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Spurs’ balanced attack.
