NBA fans at Golden 1 Center witnessed an exciting double-overtime showdown between the Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings, which ended with the Kings emerging victorious 123-118. With stellar performances from DeMar DeRozan and Domantas Sabonis, the Sacramento team sealed the win. It marked the Heat’s third straight losses and second back-to-back loss following the seven-game suspension of their star player, Jimmy Butler.
With this victory, the Kings have extended their winning streak to five games, bringing their season record to 18-19 and positioning them 11th in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Heat now sit at 17-17, maintaining their ninth-place standing in the Eastern Conference.
Sacramento Kings Stun Miami Heat In Double Overtime
The Heat looked like they had the game in hand after leading by 17 points in the final period. However, Sacramento’s determination shone through as they battled back to force overtime and eventually sealed the win in the second extra period.
DeRozan once again delivered when it mattered most. The veteran guard finished the game with 30 points, four assists, three rebounds, and 1 block. Notably, he scored nine points in the second overtime alone, shooting a perfect 4-4 from the field and 1-1 from beyond the arc. DeRozan now holds the record for the most overtime points in the NBA since his drafting.

Domantas Sabonis was a force on both ends of the court, posting a triple-double with 21 points, 18 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal, and three blocks. Malik Monk also contributed significantly, scoring 23 points and dishing out 6 assists in 49 minutes of play. Keegan Murray added 14 points, and Keon Tyrese Ellis scored 17 points in the win.
For the Heat, Tyler Herro led the charge with 26 points and four assists, while Bam Adebayo added 18 points and 12 rebounds. Haywood Highsmith and Jaquez Jr. also played well, contributing 14 and 16 points, respectively. Despite their efforts, the Heat struggled to close out the game and ultimately succumbed to the Kings’ late-game heroics.
