Nina Westbrook is not a happy wife.

Russell Westbrook’s wife took to Twitter on Monday and unleashed a fiery rant in the form of several tweets

Westbrook has often been booed and trash talked online by fans, but some of them have taken it way too far.

Westbrook received some ‘death wishes’ from fans. The All-Star guard’s wife Nina sounded off on such fans with emotional messages on Twitter.

My hope is that the amazing and talented players that come after him don’t have to be subjected to this type of shaming, name-calling, and public scrutiny for playing the game that they love.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been arguably the NBA’s most disappointing team relative to expectations entering the season. Russell Westbrook has received the brunt of that criticism. Westbrook has had issues throughout the season in his efforts to establish chemistry with his teammates. Not helping matters is Anthony Davis not being able to stay healthy.

Any efforts that might have been pursued to trade Russell Westbrook didn’t materialize before last month’s trade deadline. There has even been talk about possibly benching him as well.

The team currently sits at 28-35, good for ninth place in the Western Conference.
