Nobody in the entire league likely gets more criticism than Russell Westbrook. That was on display as soon as he was traded from the Lakers.
Westbrook’s wife, Nina, found herself thoroughly upset to blast some recent reports made by ESPN NBA insider Dave McMenamin.
McMenamin claimed that the Lakers wanted to “remove a vampire from the locker room” when they traded Westbrook to Utah this week. Describing her husband that way had Nina calling the reports ‘sick.’
“I have school aged children who have to listen to their peers repeat the nasty things that you guys say on television about their father. I guess I will prepare myself to explain to my 5-year-old that his dad is not actually a vampire,” she wrote on Instagram.
Before getting traded to the Jazz, Russell Westbrook averaged 15.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists for the Lakers this season.
At the end of the day, Russell Westbrook is no longer a Laker after a trade that brought him there became a failed experiment of the team putting him up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
