Russell Westbrook is a man who does not care for your trash talk, especially from a fellow NBA player who hasn’t experienced any real success in their career.
According to The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski, Minnesota’s head coach Ryan Saunders ordered his players not to get into any verbal tussles with Russell Westbrook.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Dario Saric decided to ignore that advice.
Following the Thunder-Timberwolves matchup, Westbrook showed why they both should’ve listened to their head coach.
“Get to the fucking playoffs before you speak to me,” Russ yelled at the two young players.
Minnesota went on to win the game by a score of 131-120 with Towns chipping in 41 points, but Westbrook still walked away with the last laugh as his comments certainly reign true.
Currently, the Timberwolves are sitting at the 10th seed in the West.
