On Thursday night, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski dropped an unexpected bomb that the OKC Thunder had traded Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets. At the time that he was traded, Westbrook was in the midst of hosting a comedy show in Tulsa, Oklahoma as part of a charity event to benefit the “Light It Up” Foundation.
The eight-time All Star took some time to thank everyone for coming out, not officially speaking on the trade as he likely knew everyone in the room had already heard about it.
During the 2019 season, Westbrook averaged a triple-double for a 3rd-consecutive season all while averaging 22.9 points to go along with 11.1 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game.
