The Chicago Bulls might not get their nineties’ dominance back, but they are certainly looking to fix their roster this offseason to climb up the stairs of the championship race. To make the changes, they are reportedly looking for trade options for their star, Zach LaVine.
As per rumours, the Miami Heat are interested in getting the shooting guard on board. When the Bulls signed Lavine, they were hoping for a big change, but instead, they suffered greatly because of his constant injuries. The franchise had to make way without him as he was either sidelined because of the injury or didn’t have much impact on the games.
Lavine’s age and physical condition are possibly the major reasons for him not getting the trade offers. The Bulls would try their best to strike a deal with the Miami franchise so that they don’t have to be stuck with the 29-year-old.
Lavine lacks defensive skills, play-making qualities and versatility. The guard couldn’t earn his position even on the All-NBA list.
Lavine could only appear in 25 games this season due to his foot surgery and averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. However, it’s never too late to start afresh with another probable opportunity on the way.
Warriors Emerge as Potential Landing Zone for Zach LaVine
The Warriors are assumably open to drastic changes this season. They would allegedly be starting the next season with a few rearrangements to their roster. At a time like this, Greg Swartz of the Bleacher Report speculated about a link-up between the Warriors and Lavine.

According to the NBA insider, “LaVine would be a strong secondary scoring option alongside Stephen Curry, who needs to see his workload begin to decrease heading into his 16th season at age 36.” He further stated, “Golden State could utilize the 29-year-old in on-and-off ball situations, as LaVine proved he can be a premier catch-and-shoot threat.”
Zach Lavine might end up in any of the teams or could stay with the Bulls, but with Josh Giddey’s arrival, there could be a lot of new changes in the team. For now, the situation is to be monitored as only time can tell what Lavine’s future in the league holds.
