Jimmy Butler is currently facing a challenging situation with the Miami Heat. After a disappointing performance in their 119-108 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans, Butler surprised the basketball community with his post-game statement. He expressed his unhappiness with the Heat and indicated his willingness to trade.
In response to his comments, the Heat suspended Butler for seven games. The organization acknowledged that Butler no longer wishes to be a part of the team and said they would listen to trade offers as Butler and his representative seek a move. However, Anthony Chiang from the Miami Herald reported that Butler is still expected to remain with the Heat.
“According to a source close to the situation, Butler will be expected to rejoin the Heat and play in games if he’s still on the roster at the end of his team-issued seven-game suspension. As of now, the Heat is not interested in having Butler remain away from the team while paying him the remainder of his $48.8 million salary for this season after his suspension is over.” Anthony Chiang from the Miami Herald wrote in recent reports.
