Talks of Trae Young, an Atlanta Hawks point guard, joining the Los Angeles Lakers are gaining speed as trade rumours continue to increase among NBA analysts. During the recent discussion, Tim MacMahon further gave his opinion on the Trae Young trade rumors.
For the past six seasons, Trae Young has been the cornerstone of the Atlanta Hawks’ strategy, but that could soon change. Tim MacMahon of ESPN described trade rumors involving the guard as “legitimate” in a conversation with Zach Lowe on The Lowe Post. He also mentioned that “rumblings about the possibility of Trae Young actually being traded—only recently has that been something that you would even think would be a consideration for the Hawks.”

Jovan Buha of The Athletic further added to this topic. he said that young is the most realistic target for the trade.
“The one name I continually hear is Trae Young. He’s been to Laker playoff games before. He’s a clutch Sports client. That’s probably the most realistic one right now.” Jovan Buha said during the discussion.

Although his defensive abilities are unlikely to wow everyone, Young is known as one of the NBA’s most brilliant offensive players at his position. He leads all Hawks players in scoring with an average of 26.4 points per game, converting 42.6% of his field goals and 37.1% of his three-pointers.
In addition, in his sixth NBA season with the Hawks, he is already averaging a career-high 10.8 assists per game in the 2023–24 regular season.
