Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a 101-103 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in their recent outing. While the game was quite a closely contested affair, Rudy Gobert seems to have a lot of complaints regarding the calls. While he was called for five fouls altogether, Gobert stated that the calls were quite inconsistent. He opined that while he got called for pushing an athlete, the exact same foul went unnoticed sometime later. And this did not sit well with Gobert.
Lashing out at the calls, Gobert vented out his frustrations saying it was okay to make a couple of mistakes. However, when mistakes are recurring, then it becomes a problem.
“When it’s not consistent, that’s when I get mad,” Gobert said. “When I get called for a push-off, and then I see Bobby Portis is pushing off a couple minutes later and it doesn’t get called, it doesn’t make any sense. That’s all we ask. Consistency.”

Gobert further continued saying that he was confused about whether playing physically was allowed or not. However, despite taking his shots at the calling, Rudy Gobert also showed significant compassion towards the referee.
Rudy Gobert Sympathizes With The Referees
Well, Rudy Gobert might be angry, but that doesn’t mean he is not willing to understand the pressure on the referees. Gobert doubled down on his take, stating that he knew how much pressure the referees were under while officiating a game. Thus, there is absolutely no reason to think that a mistake here and there won’t happen.
“I know they’re humans. They’re going to make mistakes, and that’s a part of the game. When I was younger, I didn’t understand it, but now I’m wiser. I understand how tough of a job it is for them. It’s a really tough job,” said Gobert.
